Imports decline by 4 percent, exports increase by 4 percent in April

The total imports to the Maldives, including fuel, observed a 4 percent decline in April, according to Maldives Customs Service.

According to the authority, total imports including fuel amounted to MVR 4.5 billion. However, imports excluding fuel observed a 19 percent increase and was recorded at MVR 3.7 billion.

Exports from the Maldives reached a total of MVR 193 million, reflecting a 4 percent increase.

4. China: MVR 520 million

5. Singapore: MVR 467 million

1. Skipjack Tuna (stripe-bellied bonito – frozen): MVR 100 million

2. Skipjack Tuna (prepared and preserved): MVR 62 million

3. Yellowfin Tuna Loins (frozen): MVR 7 million

4. Copper Waste and Scrap: MVR 4 million

5. Skipjack Tuna Fish Chips (dried): MVR 3 million
