Eid-Al-Fitr prayer was held in mass congregation on Monday morning, 02nd May, after a two-year break.
The mass congregation of the 'sunnah' prayer was held at the Maafannu stadium venue on Monday morning, while other mass congregations of the prayer were held at both Hulhumale' and Vilimale' stadium venues.
This marks the first time mass congregation of Eid prayers have been held in Greater Male' Region since the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak hit the country back in 2020.
Apart from mass gatherings for the prayer, a total of 27 mosques in Male' area held the Eid-Al-Fitr prayer on Monday morning.
Eid-Al-Fitr is the Islamic festive day following the culmination of the sacred month of Ramadan, and falls on 01st of Islamic calendar month of Shawwal.
