Resolution to expedite ban on Israeli passport holders rejected by Parliament

A resolution submitted by the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) calling for the expedited passage of a bill to ban Israeli passport holders from entering the Maldives has been rejected by Parliament.

Following a debate on the resolution submitted by North Galolhu MP Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudu), 63 members voted against it, 15 voted in favor, and one member abstained.
