Villa Hakatha has been awarded 'Cement Supplier of the Year' at the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) Builder Awards 2023.
The award ceremony took place at JEN Maldives Malé by Shangri-La on Sunday evening, December 24, where Villa Hakatha was acknowledged for its notable contribution to the construction industry in the Maldives.
The company is one of the leading retail and wholesale distributors of construction-related materials along with gas, fuel, and Shell brand lubricants.
Villa Hakatha is known for its Villa Cement brand, which is locally packed in the Maldives for both retail and wholesale distribution. The packaging of Villa Cement is environmentally friendly and designed to withstand the weather conditions in the Maldives, ensuring that the cement does not coagulate inside the packaging.
The company said that its Villa Cement brand has a longer lifespan compared to other products available in the Maldivian market.
In addition to Villa Hakatha, five other construction industry companies and professionals received awards at the first-ever Builder Awards organized by MNACI, including two Lifetime Achievement awards for two industry veterans.
