The first batch of students of the recently introduced Bachelors of Pharmacy in September 2023, have taken their Hippocratic oath.
At the ceremony the students were also awarded with their white coats. The coats were handed by Registrar of Health Council of Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives Ubaidulla Thaufeeq.
Students who have received three A' Level passes, including Chemistry and Physics, or hold an O' Level pass in English along with the completion of an MNQF level 4 course in a relevant field, are eligible to apply for the course. The Bachelor's in Pharmacy is a four-year program.
Part of their academic course include an externship program in foreign countries and a work experience trip to a World Health Organization (WHO) approved pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Villa College launched the program to develop skilled professionals in local pharmacies.
