Five islands in Crossroads that was built on reclaimed land of Emboodhoo Lagoon has been put on sale.
The islands were announced for sale by Singapore's real estate company JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group. The islands put on sale have not yet been fully developed.
JLL Group said that investors can also apply for more than one island to develop resorts. The company also noted this is a golden opportunity for those who want to invest in the Maldives.
Companies purchasing the islands have also been given the opportunity to develop the islands in collaboration with The Sinha Estate of Thailand, which carried out the Crossroads project.
Even though JLL Group has put the islands on sale they did not disclose the price they are being sold for.
Crossroads is being developed under the integrated tourism project by reclaiming nine islands. Once all these islands are developed, Crossroads will be connected to marina. Resorts have already been opened in two islands. They are Hardrock and Sai Lagoon.
