Former Vice President Faisal Naseem has resigned from Jumhoori Party today.
He has been a member of the party since the party was established sixteen years ago.
Jumhoori Party Spokesperson Ali Solih has confirmed that the party has received Naseem's resignation letter.
He added that the party's leader, Gasim Ibrahim, extends thanks to Faisal Naseem for his long years of service.
Prior to serving as Vice President during former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration, Naseem was the member of Parliament for Kaashidhoo constituency.
He started his political career in 2004 as a member of the special majlis.
