President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed on Thursday hosted the Official Independence Day Assembly 2019 at Dharubaaruge.
The First couple extended warm salutations to those present on the eve of Maldives' 54th anniversary of Independence.
Vice President Faisal Naseem and his wife Aishath Shamsadha also took part in this gathering and greeted those present.
Some of the guests present at the event include Speaker of Parliament, Former President Mohamed Nasheed, Cabinet Members, Parliamentarians, State Ministers and long-serving members of the government.
