First Lady Sajidha has stated that female participation and empowerment in the police force is crucial within the police force, further stating that desirable results of expanding the roles of female officers will be evident once this is developed.
First Lady, Sajidha Mohamed has stated that female participation in the police force and women leadership roles are very important.
Speaking at the ceremony held at Iskandhar Koshi to inaugurate the second term of the Maldives Women in Policing Committee, Sajidha stated that women's crucial services stand out within the significant role of police services.
She remarked that the desirable outcomes will be achieved for performing the duties of the police force once women's empowerment in the police services are solidified and their roles are expanded.
The First Lady had further reiterated the importance of the voice, participation and leadership of female police officers across various sectors of the police force during the ceremony last night.
Expressing pride in the significant contributions by female police officers in maintaining the peace and security of the nation, Sajidha had implored officers to persevere in their dedication.
She further stressed the importance of identifying additional methods to enhance women's empowerment and asserted that this will allow further opportunities to address numerous societal issues surrounding women which has been escalating.
During the ceremony last night, First Lady Sajidha had also launched the special inaugural issue of their newsletter; 'Maldives Women in Policing Monthly News Letter' which is compiled and published by the Maldives Women in Policing Committee.
