Four Maldivian resorts made the list of '50 Most Romantic Hotels In The World' by global travel site, Big 7 Travel.
The list revealed Wednesday included the resorts:
- Conrad Maldives Rangali Island: Rank 5
- Velaa Private Island: Rank 11
- Veligandu Island Resort: Rank 28
- Kandholhu Maldives: Rank 43
Big 7 Travel unveiled the list in time for Valentine’s Day, focusing on hotels and resorts featuring an amorous atmosphere, complete with romance concierges, private island villas, outdoor bathtubs and candlelit dinners.
According to Big 7, the final rankings were determined by aggregating two romantic hotel rankings. They were “Travel+Leisure World’s best Awards 2018: The Most Romantic Hotels Collection”, and “Tripadvisor Traveler’s Choice 2019: Top 25 Hotels for Romance.”
Additionally, the scoring system factored in survey results of Big 7 readers and votes from a panel of experts from travel media and the hotel industry.
Taj Lake Palace of Udaipur, India, snatched first place on the list. Other famous hotels included at the top are Plaza Athénée of France, Laucala Island Resort of Fiji, and Villa Cora of Italy, respectively.
