Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid presented the exequatur to Honorary Consular Correspondent of Netherlands Sanjay Bansal, on Sunday.
"Looking forward to closer ties with Netherlands and greater consular assistance to Dutch tourists visiting the Maldives", said Minister Shahid in a tweet posted after the visit.

In response to his tweet, Netherland's Ambassador to Maldives and Sri Lanka Joanne Doornewaard, tweeted her appreciation of Minister Shahid's efforts.

Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in 2017 awarded the southern island atoll of Fuvahmulah USD 10.7 million for its coastal protection project.
RVO is a part of the Dutch economic ministry, and it works with governments, international organisations and other parties to encourage entrepreneurs towards sustainable and innovative businesses.
