Reflecting on the 10th anniversary of China's Belt and Road Initiative, she credited ongoing cooperation for advancing progress in both countries.
Ambassador Lixin also mentioned significant contributions such as the Sinamale' Bridge, Velana Airport development, and social housing projects as examples of China's support for the Maldives.
Ambassador Lixin highlighted President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's recent visit to China as a milestone in strengthening bilateral relations.
Additionally, she cited future projects, including a 100-bed tertiary hospital and road development project in Villimale', reiterating China's commitment to support sustainable development in the Maldives.
The Ambassador emphasized the growing collaboration in tourism, agriculture, fisheries, trade, and investment, and noted China's leading role in tourist arrivals to the Maldives, with arrival numbers expected to increase during China's National Day holidays.
