National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Friday issued a warning of rough weather in central and southern Maldives.
In a statement, NDMA stated that central and southern atolls will experience heavy rain, strong winds, and rough seas over the next two days, according to Maldives Meteorological Centre (MMC).
The authority cautioned the people living in the regions mentioned to take precautionary steps in advance, to minimise any damages that could be caused by flooding and strong winds.
NDMA also advised all parties, especially seafarers, to be cautious when traveling.
If affected, NDMA urged the public to report all damages to the authority via their respective councils.
