Fazeel suspended from MWSC over land issue

Mohamed Fazeel Rasheed has been suspended from his position as Deputy Managing Director of MWSC following the commencement of a police investigation into his claiming ownership of a landplot in Hulhumale' which the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Infrastructure has said was not awarded to him.

MWSC has said that Fazeel has been stripped of his duties, and suspended from attending office, in order to cooperate with the Police investigation. The suspension was decided on by the company's board of directors.
