“Travel the world, and the seven seas” seems like a very appealing thing but that might be a bit troublesome if you are an introvert. Do not get us wrong, there is nothing to be ashamed about in being an introvert and we all break through our lives in different manners.

We get that we are now living at a time and age where many have romanticized traveling abroad for seeking adventures, meeting strangers and doing risky things even. Several high-profile social media influencers and celebrities often encourage or endorse traveling to various parts of the world for whole new experiences.

Globetrotting is not a bad idea, but too often a time many seem to undermine that venturing outside of one’s home country or let alone outside of one’s own town may be a harrowing experience for some.

While for extroverts or social butterflies traveling and meeting strangers, getting to know different people of various colors of life may be just another regular Sunday evening activity, for those who are more socially-inept and shy these tasks can feel like more arduous than battling dragons.

However, these travel hacks might just be what is needed for those who are still attempting to break the shell on traveling outside of their comfort bubble – and we hope that it would help!

Choosing a quiet/remote location

Perhaps the bustling cities with neon lights and billboards are not your scene, and perhaps loud party-centric resorts are definitely not among the very first of places you wish to try out. If these are the cases then you can always opt for quiet and remote locations.

While Maldives is highly renowned as a popular tourist destination, the country’s major tourism segment supports enclave resort tourism which means that the tourist resorts are detached geographically from mainland areas. In addition to this, most of these resorts are high on privacy so you can be rest assured that no one will be bugging you at your villa unnecessarily.

Other popular global locations include Gokarna (India), Ithaca (Greece), Castara (Tobago), Seychelles, Lanzarote, Mauritius and Zanzibar and Chole (Tanzania).

Book a private room/villa

Privacy is instrumental to you and there is no contesting that for the most part of your getaway, you would love to be left unbothered by the noise and the commotions of complete strangers. It would help you a great deal when you book a private room or a villa at the respective tourist properties that you are making reservations in.

We get out difficult it would be for the introverted souls to actually share a room with another person – and sometimes, it is the case even if you are traveling with family.

Challenge yourself – Go solo or travel in small groups

It is all about crossing the chasm between comfort and adventure. While you may have become adjusted to traveling with your family members or closest friends, perhaps it is time for you to break out of that bubble and try something new.

Try traveling alone or at least in a small traveler group that do not exceed six to seven members in total. If you are choosing to go alone, then it is going to be a thrilling as well as an exhaustive experience for you given the mental and emotional strength it would require of you to pull such a thing off. But the end result is always beautiful, and coming out on the other end with a successful solo trip will have evidently given you personal growth as well.

When it comes to choosing to travel solo, you can always pick a destination that you are intimately familiar with – perhaps a place that you had visited previously with your family or friends.

Wrap-Up

Traveling is a beautiful experience that allows one to open their eyes into the world at large. It allows the travelers to observe and witness things directly and understand cultures, people and traditions first-hand that they had previously only seen or heard through some media or advertisement.

Taking that plunge into trying out something new is always an exhilarating thing, but it helps if you calculate all aspects of it and approach it in a composed manner – it is the same even with traveling.
