Urbanco on Tuesday, December 26, announced that the unpermitted entry into the closed off portion in Hulhumalé 2 is now prohibited.
A statement issued by the corporation on Tuesday stated that the fenced-off area is currently not open to the public, despite reported instances of trespassing.
Urbanco reiterated its continuous plea against trespassing into the area.
"As such, we urge and announce not to enter the area without a valid reason and permission," Urbanco said.
The corporation also reiterated cautions issued by relevant health authorities on the alarming growth of mosquito population in Hulhumalé, and advised the residents to take precautionary measures amid rising cases of mosquito-related diseases.
Urbanco has advised the companies and people permitted to access the closed down section of Hulhumalé to practice caution in ridding of any environment that would enhance the breeding of mosquitos. The corporation identified that the closed off section with ongoing construction works have thick vegetation, which is an ample environment for mosquitos to breed and multiply.
