Universal Enterprises, on Saturday, gifted 10,000 test kits to the Maldivian government as part of the company's contributions to increasing the country's testing capacity in the ongoing COVID-19 response.
The donations were accepted by the acting Minister of Health Mohamed Aslam during a ceremony held at the Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC).
Earlier in July, Universal had donated two PCR test machines, as well as ventilators and personal protective equipment for the Maldivian COVID-19 response. Prior to that, the company donated 20,200 PCR test kits in June.
Till date, Universal has gifted over 30,000 test kits to the government.
The island nation now records total 8,486 confirmed and 2,629 active COVID-19 cases, along with 5,822 recoveries and 29 deaths.
