The data showed that MVR 740,805.79 was spent on medical assistance for the poor and needy, covering the medical expenses of 69 patients.
Details of medical assistance:
30% was allocated for cancer treatment
9.2% was allocated for liver transplants
2% was allocated for heart surgery
2% allocated for brain surgeries
57.1% allocated for other medical treatments
Zakat House stated that the expenses incurred last month include funds provided individuals who received aid in January as well.
MVR 127,500 was provided as Zakat fund assistance to those whose daily lives are affected by special circumstances.
Last month, Zakat House spent MVR 3,74,950.28 on various programs to promote Islam and spread religious awareness. The total salary for its employees was MVR 1,92,432.81, and MVR 93,761.61 was spent on holding meetings and seminars.
