Newly appointed Managing Director (MD) of STELCO Hussain Fahmy has commenced work on removing the transformer placed on Maaveyo Magu, which was blocking part of the road.
STELCO said that the MD visited the site of the transformer and issued an apology to the public for the inconvenience that the placement of the transformer caused to pedestrians and drivers using the road.
Fahmy assured that work on removing the transformer would be completed before the end of the year.
Fahmy has been working at the company since 1998. He started his career at STELCO as an Account Assistant Trainee.
