The opportunity has been opened for Ukrainian tourists currently in the Maldives who wish to extend their visas.
Immigration said in a statement that Ukrainian tourists will be able to apply for an increase in visas through the agency's "Imuga" portal. The visa must be extended before the visa expires.
In addition to tourist information, a license copy of the facility must be sent when applying for a visa. If a tourist is in a guesthouse, receipts must be sent.
Immigration has opened the opportunity for Ukrainian tourists to increase their visas due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Travel has also been suspended in the wake of Russia's attacks since Thursday.
Tourism Ministry has stated that it is working with Immigration to increase visas for Ukrainian and Russian tourists. Ukrainian travel agencies have also requested assistance from the Maldivian tourism sector.
According to the Ministry, there are 750 Ukrainian tourists in the Maldives.
