Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tours Operators (MATATO) promoted Maldives, as a top tourist destination, at the Riyadh Travel Fair 2019.
The largest travel expo to take place in the Middle-East commenced on March 28 ending on Saturday, March 30.
Three local companies partook in the expo that was held at Servcorp-Al Faisaliah Tower in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This marks the fourth time that MATATO took part in the fair.
Thanks largely to efforts made towards promoting Maldives presence in the Middle-Eastern market has resulted in yearly increments to tourist arrivals from the region.
A total of 3.4 percent out of Maldives-bound tourists 2016-2018 were nationals from the Middle-East region.
MATATO actively partakes in Maldives centred advertisement efforts across various travel expos taking place over the world.
