Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) predicts bad weather for the period of Al-ha Eid holidays.

According to MET office predictions, a greater part of the country will experience heavy rains and rough seas till August 14.

MET also predicted that the weather will worsen starting from Thursday.

The predictions come as Maldivians across the country gear up to travel for Eid celebrations across the country.

While winds are predicted to be between 10 to 20 miles per hour between North and Central Atolls, the Southern Atolls will experience winds between 8 to 18 miles per hour.

Hence, MET office forecasts that the seas would be rough across the country in the coming week.
