Heena Waleed, a seasoned media professional, assumes the role of CEO at NSPA, a governmental agency offering financial aid for medical and other essential needs. A prominent figure in the political arena, Heena previously served as the Political Director of the Foreign Ministry during the tenure of former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

Having built a strong connection with the media, Heena garnered popularity as a presenter at PSM, where she held the position of Executive Editor before her departure. Alongside her media career, Heena pursued higher studies in the field.

Despite currently being abroad for medical treatment, Heena's appointment as NSPA's CEO marks a significant step in her career.

In a parallel development, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Aminath Zeeniya as Managing Director at Aasandha, a state-funded healthcare provider. Aminath Zeeniya, the first employee of Aasandha Company, previously served as its Medical Director.

Zeeniya, who initially joined Aasandha in 2012 under Allied, witnessed its transition into an independent entity in 2014. She becomes the latest woman to hold a leadership position in the organization.

The appointment of Heena Waleed follows the conclusion of Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's term, during which Mariyam Shafeeqa served as NSPA's CEO until November 17th.
