Ooredoo unveils new head office building with modern amenities

Ooredoo's brand-new headquarters in Hulhumalé has been officially unveiled.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Aziz Al Usman Fahru, the Managing Director and CEO of Ooredoo Group.

The Ooredoo headquarters is designed with state-of-the-art technology tailored for the digital era and environmentally sustainable features. The building utilizes laminated tempered glass to minimize electricity expenses and protect against heat damage. Additionally, the facility is equipped with solar panels, an integrated lighting management system, a fresh air supply system, and a water waste management system.

To ensure the building's safety, it is equipped with fire-rated doors, fire-resistant glass, and an automated fire safety system.

Designed to boost employee productivity, the workspace exudes comfort and spaciousness. It features dedicated areas, including a café for staff relaxation, a designated children's area, staff parking, and an on-site gym. Additionally, the office houses meeting rooms and a town hall area.

During the inauguration of the Ooredoo Head Office, Khalid Al Hamadi, Managing Director and CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, emphasized the company's commitment to propelling the nation into the digital age. He also announced that work on the 'Peace' submarine cable, connecting Kulhudhuffushi, Singapore, and Europe, would conclude in December.

The CEO of Ooredoo Maldives described the newly opened headquarters as a testament to the company's success over the past 18 years. "We sought to incorporate sustainable resources into the building's design, aiming to create a space where we can nurture innovative ideas," he said.

During the event, Vice President Faisal Naseem highlighted Ooredoo's endeavors in spearheading the digital transformation of the Maldives and emphasized the company's commitment to social responsibility within the telecommunications sector.

Located near Hulhumalé Central Park, Ooredoo's new headquarters is an eleven-story building that includes an Ooredoo Experience Centre and Club Premier Lounge, providing customers with an extensive range of services.
