151 accidents in the first 15 days of Ramadan!

According to statistics released by the police, the first 15 days of Ramadan saw the highest number of traffic accidents in the city, with a total of 151 accidents reported so far.

One dangerous accident that occurred on May 3rd in Hulhumale' resulted in the death of a 59-year-old man in a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle in the second phase of Hulhumale'. Several people injured in these accidents had to be treated in hospitals, including some who required intensive care.

Drug abuse cases were the next most commonly reported issue in the city, with 66 cases. Other common cases filed in Male' include 31 cases of violence against people, 22 cases of threats, 15 cases of theft, 9 cases of domestic violence, and 9 cases of use of invalid documents. In addition, four cases of eating and drinking during the day in Ramadan were also reported to the police.

The police report that drug abuse cases are the most commonly filed cases within the atoll, with as many as 100 cases related to drugs reported from different islands during this Ramadan.

• 9 cases of domestic violence

• 9 cases of use of invalid documents

Four cases of eating and drinking during the day during this Ramadan were also reported to the police.

According to the police, drug abuse cases are the most commonly filed cases within the atoll. As many as 100 cases related to drugs were reported to the police from different islands during this Ramadan.
