Main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) on Tuesday filed a motion asking the parliament to look into the recent government housing policy alleging that it was denying housing for ordinary people.
South-Henveiru MP Mohamed Abdul Kareem said the motion was filed to find the stand of the parliament in the matter.
The motion would also seek to force the government revise its current housing policy which would allow affordable housing to ordinary people, the opposition lawmaker added.
