In this third edition of MIB's Guest House Symposium, 150 stalls will be leased.
The event will be held at Crossroads Maldives.
MIB said that they will soon announce for applications to participate in this symposium.
In a press conference held today, MIB's Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Riza said that the aim of holding such an event is to further expand tourism in Maldives, and to offer a networking chance for all stakeholders involved in guest house related tourism.
"Our focus in this forum is to increase participation by guest houses, liveaboards, SMEs that cater to guest houses and the tourism sector, and such companies," he said.
Vice President of the Guest House Association Ahmed Waheed said that this would present an opportunity for owners of guesthouses and hotels to congregate in one place and discuss financing and marketing between them.
MIB's Chief Retail Banking Officer Hussain Alim Shakoor said that the success of the previous two Guest House Symposiums went on to indicate that such a forum needs to be held at national level.
