11 Maldivian students rank first worldwide in A' Levels

A total of 11 Maldivian students achieved first place worldwide in the 2018 Advanced Level examinations.

At the Top Ten awards ceremony held at Dharubaaruge convention centre to hail the achievements of students who sat last year's A Levels, it was announced that the toppers placed first in five subjects.

Two of the students won first place worldwide in two subjects. Most of the students obtain top grades in Accounting.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih awarded the four students who ranked first in Maldives.

Maldivian students who topped internationally:

- Aishath Sakha Rasheed, Addu High School

- Abdulla Yazaan Rasheed, Addu High School

- Mohamed Miuvan Maseeh, Centre for Higher Secondary Education

- Mohamed Thahseen Hassan, Centre for Higher Secondary Education

- Ahmed Alhaan Adam, Ahmadiyya Internantional School

- Aminath Risaalaa, Faafu Atoll Bilehdhoo School

- Shameel Abdul Jameel, Baa Atoll Education Centre

- Ahmed Ijlaal, Baa Atoll Education Centre

- Shaaneez, Ahmadiyya International School

- Ismail Nafaal Ibrahim, Centre for Higher Secondary Education

- Imkaan Ibrahim, Centre for Higher Secondary Education

Students who achieved first place in National Top 10

- Mohamed Miuvaan Maseeh, Centre for Higher Secondary Education

- Mohamed Thahseen Hassan, Centre for Higher Secondary Education

- Aishath Sakha Rasheed, Addu High School

- Shammah Rashaad, Centre for Higher Secondary Education

The previous year’s top ten comprised of 195 students. Seven students achieved second place while 14 won third.
