Police on the hunt for additional people swindled by Maldives Wave

In order to identify whether additional people fell victims to the swindling attempts of Maldives Wave, Police have implored the people to come forward and report if any of them were wronged by the company.

Maldives Police Service has implored the people to come forward and lodge a report if money was scammed through fraud and deception from additional people by the renowkn watch brand, Maldives Wave under pretenses and false promises that cars will be imported.

The case of Megatron Motors Maldives Wave International Company swindling people of money under false pretenses of importing cars was lodged to the station amid April.

Police stated today that they would like to identify whether Maldives Wave had robbed other people of their money through deceptive means.

They have made a public announcement in addition to listing economic crime department's hotline, +960 9790048 as the helpline, urging people to call the number to report any such occurrence.

As reported by Mihaaru News, under the pretense of giving cars, Maldives Wave had collect a total of MVR 50 million from other people as well. However, social media was recently flooded with complaints owing to the delay in delivering the promised cars.

Maldives Wave was a brand that gained popularity within the community with their production of watches four years ago.
