Man in Deadpool costume at VIA questioned by police, says he was picking up a friend

A man dressed as Deadpool from the Hollywood movie was released after being questioned by police at Velana International Airport (VIA) last night.

A video circulating on social media shows the man in the Deadpool costume being stopped and questioned by police inside the terminal.

According to the police, the man was questioned due to his costume. The man in question explained that he had dressed up to pick up a friend.

After clarifying the situation, the police released him.

The third installment of the Deadpool series was released last month and has received widespread acclaim.
