Athletics Association has announced that it will be holding its internal elections on May 24.
The elections will see persons elected for the seven positions of the executive committee (ExCo), whose current terms are due to end this year.
Endorsement of one member club is necessary to contend for the positions of President, Vice President and Treasurer.
The association said that the positions will be represented by member clubs. However, individuals from a single club cannot fill more than one position on the ExCo.
"Three persons from the same club can contend for all three positions. However, for example, a person from this club gets elected as President. Then that club cannot fill any other positions in the ExCo," an official of the association explained.
Interested persons can submit their applications from next Sunday onwards until the 15th of May. The candidate numbers will be drawn on May 17.
The position of President at the association is currently vacant, after the previous President Mohamed Tholal resigned to take up the post of Commissioner of Sports.
Since his resignation, the association has been led by Vice President Ahmed Azeel.
