Azim said that the mosque and the waiting area has been completed, and the cemetery will be open for use from Friday onwards.
The cemetery had been opened for use earlier this month when work on the ground floor had been completed, but as the work was not entirely complete, funeral prayers had not been held there during this period.
Aa Sahara cemetery had been the sole location for funerals in Male' until it was closed last May. Since then, funerals of the deceased in Male' had been held in Hulhumale' Cemetery.
