A man who went on a picnic to a sandbank has been missing for 24 hours now.
Police have appealed to the public to inform them if any information about the missing man is known.
The missing individual is Thasleem Mohamed, 43, of Maafannu Asaree Han'dhaan in capital Male' City.
Police said that Thasleem had gone to a reclaimed sandbank to the south of Kaafu atoll Huvafenfushi yesterday.
Police said that those accompanying him on the picnic informed them that Thasleem was last seen between 10:00 hrs and 11:00 hrs yesterday. Police have not revealed when he was reported missing.
Police have asked anyone with any information about Thasleem, or any persons who have since visited the sandbank, to contact Himmafushi Police Station on 9794639.
