Joali Muravandhoo Resort has been awarded Best Resort of the Year for 2022.
This award was presented by Ahmed Naseem, a pioneer in the Maldives tourism industry and the current Minister of Health.
In addition to the Resort of the Year award, the resort also won the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award as well.
The resort, located in Raa atoll, has 73 luxury villas, including beach front villas and water villas.
Voyagers Maldives was honored with the Most Notable Travel Agency Award for 2022. Rasdhoo Divers Kuramathi received the Most Notable Dive Center award, and Ocean Group was recognized as the Best Water Sports Center.
In the guest house category, the ministry of tourism awarded three honors, two in the safari category, thirteen in resorts, and nine in the professional sector. Kurumba Maldives received the highest number of awards in the resort categories.
Awards to recognize service providers and professionals in the tourism industry was first started in Maldives last year.
