Government on Tuesday appointed Ibrahim Ziyath as the new CEO of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) after a shuffle in the heads of the two main developmental companies.
Ziyath replaces Abdul Razzag Haleem who was appointed as the Managing Director of Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) less than a day after he was dismissed from the post.
Privatization Board said Sinan Ali who was also dismissed from the MTCC board has been appointed as the new chairman of State Electric Company Limited (STELCO).
Haleem has replaced former MRDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazim who was also dismissed on Sunday.
The privatization board is yet to state a reason behind the sudden shuffle. However, a massive corruption case involving Nazeem had been filed at Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) recently.
Nazeem meanwhile, was appointed as the deputy housing minister on Monday.
