Club Wamco defeated Club Urbanco in the final match of the Volleyball Association Cup men's division semi-final to enter the final of the tournament.
In the semi-final match against Urbanco at the indoor court of the Youth Centre, Wamco won the match 3-2, thanks to the performance of Ali Huzam (Huzante).
Wamco claimed the first set with a score of 25-21. Although Urbanco initially led with 25-19 in the second set, Wamco rallied back, clinching the next set 27-25. Urbanco secured the fourth set with a score of 25-21, keeping the competition intense. However, Wamco sealed the victory by taking the last set 15-12.
With this result, Urbanco, the new entrant this year, finished third in the competition.
In the first semi-final, Urbanco lost to City Sports Club. Urbanco and City Sports also qualified for the tournament by playing the preliminary round. Both teams made it to the semi-finals as the top teams in the competing group.
Wamco, who had beaten defending champions City in the first semi-final, will take on City Sports Club in the final match of the tournament. The final will be played tomorrow at 8:15 pm.
