Soneva Jani made it to the quarterfinals through winning Sunday's championship match against Lhaviyani Zone champions Le Meridien with a score of 1-3. The player of the match had been Hussain Shaffaah of Soneva Jani.
Soneva Jani became champions of Noonu Zone by defeating reigning Tekkers Cup champions Velaa Private Island.
Last month, Joali Maldives defended the Raa Zone champion title by defeating Baa zone champions Milaidhoo Maldives in the championship match.
In last year's championship, Joali Maldives lost against Noonu Zone champions Velaa Private Island in the quarter finals.
Today's quarterfinal match between Joali Maldives and Soneva Jani will be played at Siyam World Resort. The winner of the match will then play against North Kaafu Zone champions.
North Kaafu Zone tournament will commence tomorrow. Twelve teams will be split into four groups for this zone.
