2021 is almost around the corner of wrapping up and you are now quite possibly making plans for 2022. If you have spent the current year or even the year before, being deprived of traveling out of your hometown then the most likely option you will go for is booking a once-in-a-lifetime trip to a destination far away from your local livelihood

Here are five possible long-haul destination booking recommendations that are guaranteed to provide you with experiences of a lifetime, indeed.

Nairobi, Kenya

Your trip of a lifetime should be thrilling and exciting, if your vacation falls short to meet any of these then perhaps your vacation may not be so memorable after all; and what better way to ensure your trip is memorable than to book your trip to Kenya.

This is the go-to-spot if you love animals and wildlife safaris, while the country's tourism hotspot Nairobi is a business destination. An ideal lodging experience during your stay at Nairobi is The Giraffe Manor; a five-star luxury hotel that is also home to a herd of Rothschild's giraffes.

Loire Valley, France

Step aside Paris, France has other lovelier and scenic locations for enthusiastic to travelers to enjoy. The small and quaint area of the Loire Valley is a far cry from the fast-paced lifestyle found in larger cities in France.

If you fancy castles or are a history buff then do not miss your chance to check out the Chateau de Chambord located at the left bank of the Loire River; a castle dating back to the 16th century during the French Renaissance.

Another prime location is the Chateau du Clos Lucé, where the famed Italian polymath, engineer, sculptor and painter Leonard da Vinci reportedly spent the last three years of his life. This castle includes the Leonardo Garden which is an open-air museum specifically dedicated to da Vinci's research into geology and botany.

Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos Islands have been making waves across several top-of-the-mind vacation lists in various travel magazines, and though this destination may be expensive or a long-haul trip for most travelers; it is still one that will be all the more worth in 2022.

The 19-island archipelago is off the coast of Ecuador, and is home to over 9,000 animals and marine life species – while most of the creatures found in these parts are not spotted elsewhere in the world. So if you are planning on running a harmless vlog session or simply take a few memorable pictures to show to your loved ones back home, of the unique and rarely seen creatures then this really is the spot where you need to be booking your trips.

Finland

Two words – Aurora Borealis! And if you get the chance to witness the glory and beauty of the Northern Lights then why must you miss out on your opportunity to do so in 2022 when international travel is expected to boom comparatively stronger than 2021.

Hitting close to the Arctic Circle can be a life-changing experience all together when you can check in to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort where you can sleep in glass igloos while possibly enjoying the Northern Lights. There are plenty of other activities to enjoy when in Finland such as booking a tour to watch reindeers, go ice fishing or enroll on snow-tank safaris.

Maldives

You must forgive us for being impartial here, but the island nation is going to celebrate its Golden Jubilee of tourism in 2022; of which the countdown has been officially initiated by the country's government. 2022 is going to be a 'blast' for tourists all year round while multiple new tourist resort openings are expected across the country. Other tourist properties set for debut in the upcoming year include various boutique hotels, guesthouses and such while the government of Maldives expects festive activities in the tourism sector to celebrate 50 years of continued service in one of the largest economic sectors in the country.

So, if you want to become a part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations or visit the country in the year when Maldives is commemorating this historic event then 2022 is the year for you.
