National Institute of Education (NIE) revealed that 87 academic papers were presented at the International Teacher's Conference inaugurated on Wednesday.

The Conference held in Addu City from September 4 and 5 was jointly organized by NIE and University of Cambridge in England.

Although over 100's of papers were submitted, and 98 of them got approved, only 87 will be officially presented and discussed during the conference.

This number decreased as some individuals who put forth papers were unable to attend the conference, which is being held in Sharafuddin School in Hithadhoo, Addu City.

"Participants have submitted some very important papers," said Conference Coordinator Shuhudha Rizwaan.

According to NIE most of the papers addressed areas like curriculum implementation, curriculum-related teaching, teacher's professional development and inclusive education.

This year 250 representatives from Malaysia, Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan an England took part in the conference.
