Alia Investments have donated a number of community dustbins and sign boards encouraging keeping the environment clean on the island of Maafushi in Kaafu atoll.

The boards donated display messages that encourage members of the public to not litter and keep the island's environment clean. The dustbins donated by the company are designed for the collection of two different types of segregated waste with two separate compartments. The boards and dustbins have now been installed at different locations around Maafushi.

Alia Investments stated that these dustbins and boards were donated with the aim of maintaining a clean environment in Maafushi, and to encourage climate consciousness among visitors and residents of the island.

The company also highlighted the importance of environment conservation and waste management efforts, especially since the country's economy depend on tourist hotspots like the beaches and oceans which in turn helps sustain the tourism sector.

Alia Investments also emphasized the significance of environmental conservation and waste management initiatives. Given that the Maldives' economy depends on tourism, with its picturesque beaches and pristine oceans serving as major attractions, preserving these natural assets is crucial for sustaining the tourism sector.

Alia Investments is the sole distributor of Yamaha brand products in Maldives. The company offers a range of hardware items as well as various types of wood and timber. This year marks the celebration of Alia's 60th anniversary in the business.
