Fathimath Dheema Ali has set a new record by winning the National Table Tennis Tournament Cup for the fourth time in a row.
In winning last night's final match against Fathimath Jumana Nimal, Dheema has become the first player to win the trophy in four successive tournaments, beginning from when she began taking part in them.
Dheema first won the National Tournament in 2019. Since then, she has been winning the cup every single year, in 2021,2022 and 2023. There was no tournament in 2020 due to the covid pandemic.
Dheema has won the Under 17 Singles Championship. She also partnered with Mishka Mohamed Ibrahim and won the age group's Doubles category. They played against Minha Mahjoob Shujau and Malaak Binthi Muizzu.
From the events she participated in, Dheema only failed to win the First Division Doubles Cup. Dheema, paired with Mohamed Shaffan Ismail, lost to Jumana and Moosa Munsif Ahmed.
