Dheema, who lives outside of Maldives, visits the country when there is a national competition, or when she has to compete as part of the national team. In the past three years, she had returned to Maldives when the competition is near.

She won first place in singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and the Under 17 event.

The senior singles events were played on a league basis. She won all the matches she played in the event. In the entire event, she lost only one set. The sets she won, she managed victory with a huge lead.

In the singles event, Mishka Mohammad Ibrahim bagged the second spot. She paired with Dheema and had won the doubles category. In the mixed doubles category, Dheema won the title with men's singles champion Mohammad Shaffan Ismail.

The national championship will begin tomorrow. Former national champion Aishath Rafa Nazim will not be seen in the national tournament for a long time. She is currently in the UK to pursue an MBBS course.
