The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) on Wednesday opened The Clay Studio Maldives, the country’s first-ever ceramic arts and pottery studio.
Located on the ground floor of Raincrest Residences in Hulhumalé, the studio was officially inaugurated by the Managing Director of HDC, Ahmed Athif.
The Clay Studio Maldives will offer courses on ceramic arts and pottery, allowing adults and children alike to try out clay art.
Additionally, the Clay Studio will host exhibitions and workshops and cater to freelance artists as well, HDC said.
This new venture is expected to be a welcome addition to the Maldives' arts and culture scene, providing a new opportunity for those interested in learning the skill. The HDC is hopeful that the Clay Studio Maldives will promote the creative industry in the Maldives.
