Hulhumale Development Corporation (HDC) has signed a contract with Villa Educational Services to build a school in Hulhumalé phase 1.

The agreement was signed by the Rector of Villa College, Dr. Ahmed Anwar on behalf of Villa Educational Services while Managing Director Ahmed Athif signed on behalf of HDC.

The six-story building will accommodate 761 children.

According to HDC, the 20-classroom school will also have facilities for children with special needs. A robotic lab will also be set up.

The school will also provide many job opportunities to the public with about 100 jobs created in the administrative and academic sectors.

Villa Educational Services already operates Villa College and Villa High School located in Malé.

Five government schools are currently under construction in Hulhumalé phase 2 so far, two of which will be completed by January next year.
