Hamna Sets Two National Records at Hungary's 19th National Short Course Championship

Maldivian swimmer Hamna Ahmed made a significant impact at Hungary's 19th National Short Course Championship by breaking national records in two events.

In the 200m individual medley, Hamna established a new national record with an impressive time of 2 minutes and 55.12 seconds. This surpassed the previous record of 2 minutes and 57.23 seconds held by Aishath Saushan at the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships in 2016.

Hamna set a new national record in the 50m breaststroke event, clocking in at 37.88 seconds. The previous record of 38.53 seconds was held by Aishath Sajina at the 13th South Asian Games in 2019.

In addition to these remarkable achievements in these two events, Hamna also participated in the 50m freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly events during the competition.
