Two were injured in a violent assault between two expatriates late Friday.
According to the police spokesperson, a Bangladeshi national was stabbed near Salsa Royal restaurant around 2230 hours. He was rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) while police officers arrested the suspected culprit as he attempted to flee.
"Officers saw him flee the scene after the attack and gave chase, finally apprehending him near AMDC", said the police.
IGMH's spokesperson confirmed that the victim, thought to be around 25 years of age, was being treated in the emergency room. The hospital also stated that they were treating another individual injured in the attack but did not disclose further details.
Witnesses claimed that the victim was stabbed in the right side of his chest, according to local media.
