Commencement of leveling the ground of designated land plots has been initiated by HDC.
Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has initiated the process of cleaning and leveling the land plots in Hulhumale’, with the aim of allocating them to recipients as designated under the previous government's housing scheme.
Approximately a 1,000 land plots were assigned in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 during former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration.
HDC is leveling certain land plots before handing them over to recipients as some of the land plots are located in areas where there are gravel piles.
“HDC is working day and night to hand over the plots as soon as possible," they said in a post via X.
They are currently undertaking the task of cleaning the designated land plots.
While HDC begins to level the land plots, Managing Director of HDC, Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed has previously expressed disappointment with the land allocation process.
He stated that some of the land plots encroach upon water supply lines and roads. As a result, they have initiated discussions on how they can allocate these land plots.
