Two fans stolen from Dharumavantha Mosque

Two fans have been stolen from Dharumavantha Mosque on Sunday night.

Male' City Council stated on Monday that two fans which were affixed onto the walls in Dharumavantha Mosque had been stolen sometime on Sunday night.

The Council confirmed that the matter has now been reported to police.

This Ramadan, vandalism in mosques is becoming a rising concern. Designated ablution areas for women in two different mosques were also vandalized and damaged earlier in the month. This, too, had been reported to the police although no information about related actions have been revealed by the police so far.

Theft and robbery sees an alarming spike across the country every Ramadan.
