The Maldives Stock Exchange (MSE) has launched an online platform for trading in the private securities market, using state-of-the-art technology.

At the ceremony held Hotel Jen the "Viyana" platform launched by Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail. Through the platform, individuals can easily invest and profit in the private segment of the securities market.

Speaking at the ceremony, Registrar of Companies Mariyam Wisam said it was important to develop the stock exchange market at a time of rising inflation.

Noting that the stock market also plays an important role in keeping the economies of different countries stable, she said the "Viyana" platform will open the door to opportunities in Maldives' stock exchange market and pave the way to financial benefits.

CEO of MSE Aushan Latheef said the platform will increase opportunities in the financial sector, providing opportunities for those who want to increase their capital and solve administrative difficulties in the stock market.

Although the "Viyana" platform was launched, its beta version has been in use for some time. The platform allows private companies to raise funds by issuing securities without going public.

Those who wish to transact through "Viyana" including retail investors, institutional investors or issuers can register on the portal.
