State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has warned today that electricity interruptions may be experienced across capital Male' City and Hulhumale' for one hour, from 06:00 hrs to 07:00 hrs, on Friday morning due to planned work to link the Male' Interconnection Grid Network to the 132kV high voltage substation located in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
Two 50mv high voltage transformers, a high voltage switch gear and some medium voltage outgoing feeders essential to channel the electricity required for Hulhumale' Phase 2 are placed inside the substation, STO disclosed.
